New daily hours - we have heard your requests and are now open daily from 11am-5:30pm during this busy season.
Our artists have been working and playing hard this summer! We have a whole new batch of dreamy landscape paintings by Max Hayslette (who has a birthday coming up!!!), and Carrie Goller has been on a roll with encaustic pieces large and small, and has just returned from a whirlwind week of fun in NYC, Boston and Provincetown for the 12th International Encaustic Conference. Gabriel Lipper has been busy balancing his Ashland teaching schedule with creation of dynamic figurative and floral mixed media pieces.
FIRST SOLO MUSEUM EXHIBIT
Carrie Goller's Creatures Comfort solo summer exhibition at the Bainbridge Island Museum of Art Bistro will open June 23rd through September 30 (10am-6pm). If you are a current member of Bainbridge Island Museum of Art you are invited to a special preview event Friday June 22, at 6:30pm. The artist's reception Saturday June 23, 2pm-5pm is open to the public. Artist Charles Goller creates intricately wire-wrapped jewelry from precious gemstones and crystals which he selectively imports world-wide. He also does specialized custom work. He has worked hard to establish trusting connections and cares deeply about his sources; many in small villages around the globe, where the gems are mined by the villagers and contribute to the majority of their income. Recently Charles has been invited to several galleries in Sedona, AZ and Santa Fe, NM and is also supplying a New Zealand store with his work, which keeps him rather busy. However, he does accept commissions. Email him at email@example.com.
