January Gallery Highlights

He who works with his hands is a laborer.
He who works with his hands and his head is a craftsman.
He who works with his hands and his head and his heart is an artist.

Happy New Year! We hope that all of our readers had a wonderful holiday season and are kicking off 2019 with some renewed inspiration. While our artists enjoyed their holidays with close friends and family, they also stayed busy painting up a storm of custom commissions, many of which are featured in this newsletter. From pets to portraits to landscapes, our artists stayed on their toes painting a variety of subject matter. We are sincerely grateful for all of our patrons who chose to support our little gallery this holiday season with gifts of local art. We hope that your loved ones get lots of enjoyment from their new pieces!

Design/architects show off their birch tree paintings from Carrie's class

Artist Carrie Goller has also been occupied with teaching encaustic and other art classes! She and a local design/architect firm had a lovely evening last month as she took them through an encaustic birch tree painting demonstration for their annual holiday party. Pictured above are the designers with their finished paintings. They turned out well, don't you think?

Moving into February, Carrie is excited to hit the road south in a new RV where she will be painting for a Sedona and a California gallery. She will also be sending her art to Poulsbo for us to enjoy in the gallery before she returns.

POULSBO ARTWALK THIS SATURDAY!

Hayslette poster - Olympus Moon

This Saturday, January 12th, 5-8pm, mark your calendars for Second Saturday Artwalk. Meet the renowned Max Hayslette, who will be autographing complimentary posters of Olympus Moon and showing his latest work. Please join us and all the art galleries on Poulsbo's charming Front Street for fine wine and festivities.

Carrie Goller Gallery is open Wednesday through Sunday from 11:00am to 5:30pm (and by appointment). However, starting February 1 we will switch to Winter Hours which will be Wednesday through Monday from 12-5pm. Located in historic downtown Poulsbo, the gallery features a mix of contemporary fine art from small to large-scale, in a variety of media, from paintings to sculpture to jewelry. We work closely with each individual collector to assist in acquisitions for their particular tastes and requirements; including special orders, shipping, installation and also offer interior design consultations. If you cannot visit the gallery, please see our online store: www.carriegollergallery.com.

Best wishes,

Carrie & staff

Custom Jewelry by Charles Goller

Artist Charles Goller creates intricately wire-wrapped jewelry from precious gemstones and crystals which he selectively imports world-wide. He also does specialized custom work. He has worked hard to establish trusting connections and cares deeply about his sources; many in small villages around the globe, where the gems are mined by the villagers and contribute to the majority of their income. Recently Charles has been invited to a museum and several galleries in Sedona, AZ and Santa Fe, NM and is also supplying a New Zealand store with his work. Ever-expanding his skills, currently Charles is becoming an engraver, which keeps him rather busy. However, he still does accept commissions.
