| | | The summer has been bright and busy here in the gallery. The artists have been feeling energized by these sunny days and it shows in their work. New paintings from Max Hayslette include both vibrant and subdued landscapes that highlight the many beautiful features of the Pacific Northwest - from mountains and lakes to forests and oceans. We've had a number of visitors comment that they recognize some of the locations depicted in his paintings, and love hearing them relate to the artwork! Back in the studio Carrie Goller has been working on a new series of rooster paintings. Using a palette knife gives these paintings a looser, heavily textured, three dimensional appearance that lends itself well to these proud feathered fellows.
We are happy to announce that we have a brand new line of Carrie Goller Greeting cards available in the gallery, as well as at Bainbridge Island Museum of Art, and HeyDay Farm Store, Bainbridge Island. These greeting cards feature some of Carrie's new works as well as old favorites. You can check out a selection of of our greeting card sets on our website here.
This coming Saturday, August 12, 5-8pm, please mark your calendars for Second Saturday Artwalk! Max Hayslette will be autographing complimentary posters of Woodland Pond #2 (see below) and showing his latest work. Please join us and all the fine art galleries on Front Street for wine and fun.

Carrie Goller Gallery is open Wednesday through Sunday 11:00am to 5:30pm. During this busy season, we are also open most Mondays and Tuesdays - you can always call us at 360-779-2388 to confirm. Located in historic downtown Poulsbo, the gallery features a mix of contemporary fine art from small to large-scale, in a variety of media, from paintings to sculpture to mobiles. We work closely with each individual buyer to satisfy their particular needs, including special orders, gift wrapping, shipping, installation or even interior design consultations.
